Sports events : Burton Welcomes Winter with a Series of In-Store 2014 Launch Events at Local Snowboard Shops

BURLINGTON, VT (October 10, 2013) With snow storms hitting the Northwest and riders already getting in their first turns, Burton invites everyone to come celebrate the start of the winter season this weekend with special in-store events at local shops around North America.

It all starts on October 12^th in the US and on October 19^th in Canada, when multiple Burton retailers will host winter launch events for the local snowboard community. Highlights of the events will include a first look at the new 2014 Burton winter line, free food, snacks, gifts with purchase, video screenings and more. And to add to the hype, Burton pro riders Kelly Clark, Kimmy Fasani, Arielle Gold, Cilka Sadar, Enni Rukajarvi, Ethan Deiss, Jussi Oksanen, Zak Hale, Mark Sollors, Mikey Rencz and more will drop by select stores throughout North America. In addition to all this, participating shops will host screenings of the first three episodes from Burton’s new, four-part web video series, Burton Presents – [Snowboarding].

And there’s more. At the launch events this month, riders who attend can get their hands on two amazing gifts with purchase. This first is a free pair of gloves when you buy a new 2014 Burton outerwear jacket and pant. And secondly, if you drop in on a complete hardgoods set-up (boards, boots and bindings) during a participating shop event, you’ll get a complimentary pair of anon. goggles. And since everyone loves giveaways, participating stores will also feature a ‘Roll the Dice and Win’ game, where riders can test their luck for the chance to win all kinds of free stuff.
