Jury acknowledges positive influence on eBike industry
  • Bosch eBike Systems receives prize for services to eBike industry
  • Claudia Wasko named Cross Cultural Leader 2015

Taipeh/Reutlingen – Bosch eBike Systems has been named Company of the Year by the Light Electric Vehicle Association (LEVA), an interest group of manufacturers of battery-powered two- and three-wheeler bikes. The market leader in eBike drive systems won the LEVA award for its positive influence on the eBike industry. Bosch eBike Systems was presented with the award on March 19 during the Taipeh Cycle Show in Taiwan.

“Bosch this year was clearly the major influence on the thinking and designs of the industry. They have done many things not just right but very well. Especially in listening to the customer and then offering what was asked for. They have pushed the entire industry to higher levels of expectation,” said LEVA CEO Edward Benjamin, commenting on the award.

Award for North American business

Claudia Wasko, head of Bosch eBike Systems North America, a business unit set up in 2015, has every reason to be delighted with a personal LEVA award. She was named Cross Cultural Leader of 2015 in recognition of her contribution to developing the company’s North American business.

The Light Electric Vehicle Association’s aim is to bundle the strategic interests of manufacturers, dealers, and organizations involved with battery-powered two- and three-wheeler bicycles. It has 300 partners in 29 countries. The LEVA Award is made in different categories, such as Innovator of the Year or Bright Light of the Year.
